Hi Andrea,

It was just too easy not to reply since I think about you sometimes and hope everything is working out well for you.  Also, I am interested in how the digitizing thing is going there for you.  

At last,( in my opinion), our chief is promoting some conversation among Preservation people who are involved in various different types of digital conversion projects.  It is helpful, and hopefully will evolve into something useful.  One can always hope.

Jan's article about the role of the conservator  (LIBER think tank on the Future Value of the Book as the Artefact...Sweden May 2007) is thought provoking as usual and also written clearly enough that we are discussing her process in our newly formed working group.

Well, have a lovely Turkey Day celebration and I am sure you have chosen the perfect grapebased libation to bring out the best in the old bird,
