[GBW] RE: GBW Digest, Vol 22, Issue 16

I have been having trouble getting black foil to work on cloth. The foils
that I brought here from Canada 20 years ago worked fine, but they are all
used up. Lately I found that dusting the impression with 'gold blocking
powder' - which I have no idea where I got it - improved the result
dramatically. I also tried dry shellac that I ground to dust in a coffee
grinder. This idea came from James Brockman who uses the dust to repair
breaks in tooling with leaf.
