[GBW] Foiled by the black foil?



Hey Julie,
You are one determined bookie!!  I applaud you.  If you are still up to the challenge you can dampen your leather and blind stamp.  Assuming you are using dark brown leather you might get a good chance at a "black frying ;~)) "  I stamped onto a burgundy leather with a very large magnesium plate and it finished as a nice black, and it didn't take too long to clear the smoke out of the bindery!  (just kidding...)
The other choice is Candle Black, using candle soot.  I've done that on smallish areas with handle letters.
One other idea...
come out here to Northern California, currently lots of smoke and soot available for the taking!!!
