[GBW] Bookbinding class-- SLC,UT

Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced Bookbinding
August 28th through December 11th, Thursday, 4:10-8:00

Explore the basic elements of bookbinding, including design and
construction of the traditional book. Participants produce and take away
a variety of binding models. Build on a foundation of knowledge to
produce an individually designed bookwork. 
Instructor Chris McAfee received a BFA in printmaking in 1993 from
Brigham Young University where he was first introduced to bookbinding.
In 1995, he received an MFA in bookbinding from the University of
Alabama where he developed an interest in book conservation. He has
since worked as a conservator of books, documents, and photographs for
Brigham Young University and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints Archives.
