We have used it at Hopkins.  We find it much more versatile than traditional 
tape.  Yes it is archival.  You can buy it at BookMakers.

I have some Ramieband/Swiss sewing tape which looks perfect for a repair job 
I'm doing -- thin and apparently strong.

Questions:
- What are your experiences with it?
- Is it archival?
- Is there a source for purchase in the US?
