Since 1907, Oregon College of Art & Craft has
championed the value of art and craft in everyday
life. The spirit in which the College was founded
remains today, but its programs have grown to offer a
diverse range of educational opportunity to
professional artists and artisans, pre-professional
art and craft students, children, and adult art
enthusiasts. The College's mission is to provide
students with the highest quality craft education, and
to bring the finest art and craft education resources
to the community at large.
Offering instruction in book arts, ceramics, drawing,
fibers, metal, photography and wood, the College is
accredited by the National Association of Schools of
Art and Design (NASAD) and is the only institution
west of the Mississippi River to offer a Bachelor of
Fine Arts in Crafts. The College also offers a
Certificate in Crafts and an open Studio School for
avocational students. The College's faculty members
are accomplished professional artists, and classes
provide an intimate, hands-on learning experience,
with a student-teacher ratio of eight to one.
Initiated in 1994, the College's BFA program is one of
only a few craft programs in the nation. The
relatively young degree programs are growing steadily
with a current enrollment of 120 students.
Oregon College of Art & Craft is committed to equal
employment opportunity for all persons without regard
to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin,

large. The College encourages application from people
of color.
