[GBW] Workshop on Leather Decoration

The Potomac Regional Chapter is sponsoring a workshop on techniques for
leather decoration. Peter Geraty will teach a variety of decoration
techniques including gilding, creating designs with and without tooling,
feathered and hard-edged onlays (and some tooling if time allows it),
built up designs underneath the leather as well as cuir ciselé, where
the leather is cut out and modeled. Participants will work on small
boards which will be provided by Peter. Everybody will have sufficient
time to finish the various techniques and go home with a completed set
of material and be able to proceed on their own at home. Participants
should have some experience in working with leather, especially paring.

Time: March 15-16. Workshop will run 9AM - 5PM with a break for
lunch.
Place: Folger Shakespeare Library, 201 E. Capital St. SE, Washington,
DC.
Workshop fee for GBW members: $200.00	Non-members: $250.00
Materials: approx. $50.00
