[GBW] query
I'm sending this on the behalf of a binder who is not a member of
GBW. Please answer to his email address: sch3ermie@xxxxxxxxxxx, NOT
to this list. Margaret Johnson.
The question posed is by a binder of 79 who is hoping to find someone
to follow him in his business of repairing books. He expects to train
someone and would like to know how others have handled this
situation. The binder lives outside large cities where binding
workshops and other opportunities for learning take place.
He asks the following:
1. If one charged for the teaching, how much should be charged?
2. How long would one expect the process to take? A year of weekend
instruction? Longer?
