Re: [GBW] Temporary labels
I use those magnets, They work. You don't have to go to Germany for them.
Try Woodcraft Supply (www.woodcraft.com) All best, Sandy Cohen

Hedi,
Absolutely Brilliant!!! --- what a great idea to avoid damage to a book.
Obviously, you know that two magnets of the right size can attract one
another on either side of your finger.
Frank Mowery once found some very thin, small diameter, Rare Earth
Magnets (Neodymium) in Germany that would be ideal.

what about using tiny magnets?
They come in round shapes and the smallest I have are 1/8" diameter.
One magnet would lie loose underneath the cover and the other one
sits on the label in a least conspicuous place. Books with heavy boards
may
need two magnets on each side or a bigger one.
It works great.
Best,
Hedi

Does anyone have a suggestion on placing a temporary identifier number on
a
book or object that will not leave residue behind. I would like to use
round
AVERY labels, however they tend to leave their mark when removed. Any
ideas?
Thanks,
