Re: [GBW] saving original endsheets
The books is part of our Texas Collection, c1936, with decorated endsheets (there is a map of the area described in the book and a memorial faceplate). I started out using my teflon lifting spatula to up part of the board, but the damage began when I got to the edge where the paper meets the bookcloth. I next tried to use a microspatula, but I'm still leaving a layer of the paper onto the cloth which is making the outer layer much thinner.

Tell us more. Age of book/paper, decorated/plain, what are you using to try
to remove?
