[GBW] paring machines

I have both the Brockman and Scharf-Fix 2000, and I think I like the
Brockman better for a couple of reasons. . If paring a large area, the
anvil that the leather rests on is less likely to mark the fleshside of the
leather, compared to the roller that the Scarf-Fix uses. Also, the Brockman
has a curved support for the blade, which makes it possible to use standard
double edge razor blades. I have picked up a number of full boxes of new
"old" blades at flea markets for cheaper. Also, the blade cuts through the
leather at a more direct angle, which I think minimizes the tendency to tear
through the leather.
