[GBW] Ink Impressions of Finishing Tools???

I Apologize for Any Cross-Postings

Hello Everyone!!!

I have a Question for All of you: What is the Best Method of Making a Stamped Ink Impression (on Paper) of Finishing Tools that Must Show All of it's Detail??? I have Several Brass Finishing Tools, Corners in particular, that I have only one of a Pair and I would like to have the Reverse Copy made for it. P & S said that they would be Happy to do this for me, but they want me to Mail them an Inked Impression of the Tools instead of the Tools themselves, and I simply want to be Sure that I get the Very Best Impression that I can. Any Suggestions???

Also, What is the Best way to make a "Clear" or Detailed Rubbing (or Any other Suggestions) of a Tool that you want Reproduced from a Binding??? I have a few of those that I'd like to have done as well...

Thank You for your Time and your Suggestions!!! Please Take Care.

Yours,
Jonathan B. Pons

P.S. As Always, I am Interested in Any Bookbinder's Tickets/Labels that you might Have or Come Across, either the Original Ticket or as a Colour Photocopy, and I will be More than Happy to Pay for either of them. I would also be Greatful to you if you were to simply Tell me what the Bookbinder's Ticket States, as this Information will go into my Database of Binders who Used Paper Tickets/Labels to "Sign" their Bindings. Any Information will be Truly Appreciated!!! Thank You. J.B.P.
