Re: [GBW] Potomac Chapter-September meeting

Peter, with all due respect, this is a forum focused on bookbinding. It
has no room for personal politics. As long as I have followed this
sight you are the first person to not honor this convention. Please
keep your personal political statements limited to other appropriate
sights. For the record I do not take a stand on any issues in
California. I simply want to keep this sight open to all and limited
to book binding and related professions. Sincerely Rebecca Shaffer

We sympathize. I think Marnie recently asked whether the editor of a chapter newsletter was an elected position. Our experience is you are lucky to get anybody to take the job on--no election necessary. This is from the Recall State where we have an election at the drop of a body builder.

To members of the Potomac Chapter: We were unable to schedule a speaker for September, so the first meeting of the year will be in November--Wednesday, November 12 at the Folger Shakespeare Library, reception 5:30p, program at 6:00p. We still need a Treasurer and Co-Chairs, so please speak up and support your local chapter.

    Thanks,
    Mary-Parke Johnson
