Two Conservation Technician Positions
New York Botanical Garden

The LuEsther T. Mertz library's Conservation Department seeks to fill two
temporary part-time Conservation Technician positions, one beginning August
16, 2001 and the other on September 4, 2001 (17 hrs/wk.).  The Conservation
Technicians will work with the Library Conservation Staff to clean serials
and other collections and to assist with the cleaning, stabilizing and
rehousing of volumes from the Library Folio Collection in preparation for
their move to new facilities.   Applicants should demonstrate manual skills;
training and/or experience in the care and handling of books and other
library materials; interest in preservation as a career preferred. BA or the
equivalent degree required.
