Re: GBW Digest - colophons (#2001-125)



Greetings, all-

Responding to Nancy Block's question about the unusual numbering in a
colophon:
In use is the French phrase "hors series" which indicates "outside of
series". I don't think these are assigned a number, but suppose one could be
given if you have the full run. You could also use "printer's proof" and a
number, again if you have the complete range of proofs. I've done both with
my small press work. Hope this helps!
