dues

A quick note to say that, while Betsy was the bearer of the bad news, she was not the one to personally raise the dues, so she needs to be exempt of criticism.  That's why we elect officers.   Furthermore, the dues increase was clearly explained to those of us who were in Salt Lake City last fall, and if my memory serves me right, it was also mentioned in some correspondence, maybe the newsletter.  

I agree that I never like to pay more for things that I got at a lesser price previously, but the GBW dues increase is not out of line from my perspective.  I am also retired, on a fixed income.  I am probably not going to Baltimore because of the expense, but I do not blame anyone personally that I don't  have more money.  That's just how it works out sometimes.
